Two boys hear their parents talk about an uncle who due to septicemia gets a leg amputated. They are facinated by the idea of the small bacilli, so when one day they meet a small boy who hurts the foot, they are immediately ready to help him, in order he doen’t get an infection. They take him home to save his leg, but it turns out not to be as easy as they had expected.
